Always Somewhere!
As taken from today's Simi Valley Star:

"Motley Crue has sued NBC for banning the group after lead singer Vince Neil used an expletive during a live broadcast of "the tonight show with Jay Leno" The federal lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles on Tuesday, accuses the network of violating the band's free-speech rights and hurting its record sales by barring it from NBC shows to placate the Federal Communications Commission. The suit seeks a court order lifting the ban as well as UNSPECIFIED DAMAGES. Neil used the f-word during a live New Year's Eve broadcast as he yelled a greeting to banddmate Tommy Lee shortly after midnight. Though carried live on the East Coast, the remark was excised in other time zones. Neil was unaware his statement was aired live, according to the lawsuit. The FCC said it received complaints about the broadcast. The network called the suit meritless." VENTURA COUNTY STAR

okay, Vince.....you've gotten off with little or no time served for just about any and every crime/offense (including manslaughter) you've ever commited. You are a lucky bastard and now you want to sue NBC for damages and lost record sales............get over yourself and consider yourself lucky the FCC isn't fining you!

I heard this on Stern a couple days ago. Here's the deal, if they done their home work, they'd know that System of A Down(er) dropped the F-Bomb on SNL & there was no fine to the Network by the FCC, they weren't banned by NBC, so how just is that?
I would have sued because they were banned from a late night show & SOAD was not... I'm a fan, but I don't think any sales of a Greatest Hits package were lost. Everyone that "wanted" it had it within the first week of it's release...
These guys are musicians, they aren't all that bright. Trust me it was their management that pulled the trigger on this...
