For awhile now I've been complaining (to myself) about my MOTU gear, I've taken the time to do some testing. I've taken an audio file, Logarithmic sweep and Linear sweep. I've routed it from 1 to 2, from 2 to 3, from 3 to 4..until 8.
Which gave me 7 files to work with in the end.
The end result, I think, has confirmed my complaining. I few months ago I worked I connected my API512c's to Apogee Quartet and I felt they came alive. That's also when I really started to question the MOTU 1224. I knew from the beginning that I needed to upgrade eventually, but this is now a clear sign to me I should.
