Motu 8pre Vs. Firepod

i'm looking into buying one of these units and i'm curious what people's opinions are on the motu. I know every seems to love the firepod, which i've used and thought was pretty good. I never hear anyone talk about the motu, and i'm interested in what everyone has to say.

How do the pre's compare? Does the firepod use balanced jacks for monitoring? Which is more stable(on a pc)? better convertors? etc...

it seems like the motu is more feature laden, which gives it a slight leg up over the firepod.

From what I learned when researching Firepod vs 828mkII, the MOTU pre's are pretty shitty.

FirePod does use balanced jacks.

I'd go for the Firestudio, though. ADAT capability, and if you grab the remote for it, you get switchability between three sets of monitors, and three headphone jacks, as well as a talkback mic.
