Absolutely, same thing goes for sodas I think.

Came to think of a friend of mine who really enjoys soft drinks, his consumption used to be pretty extreme, in fact he turned temporaly blind due to all the sugar

Yep it is, he drank several liters each day; the same thing happend to a guy in the movie Lurch mentioned, though I think he went blind for several days while the guy I know only did so for a few hours

I try to cut back on sodas. Did you know that if a person drank 1 soda less per day, that they would lose ten pounds in a year?
