I would like to ask for anyone who's familiar with the band, what are the different albums of this band like? I am a really big FNM fan and im sure they're not anything like them...especially from what I have read, but I know Patton is an increadible musician. What album would you suggest first and why?

I would suggest the self-titled album and Disco Volante because they are both pretty out there, brilliant, diverse, amazing albums. Patton is a genius, and enough listens to Mr. Bungle and this is very apparent.

Nice call on PoS...I've been listening to The Perfect Element all night and reading along with the lyrics in amazement. :)

 You seem very well informed static thanks for your contribution :)

I read reviews on both the self-titled and on Disco Volante and they both seem like pieces worth checking out. But california's pretty different then? Not on the same level as the other two?

I was gonna make a post talking about how fucking amazing PoS's Remedy Lane is too...I've only had this album for like a week and after playing it all the way through and reading along with it its just like...wow...if there were ever an album that I would call a piece of ART this would be it. The emotion, storyline, shifts in tempo and mood are just absolutely startling. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes good music. :D

Yes...I get that alot...:p

Actually, I've got Disco Volante, it's ok, pretty insane. Since I got it I've hardly actually listened to it come to think about it...hmm, maybe I should remedy that problem post haste...;) :)

I'd go for California first, it's the easiest one to chew. Disco Volante then.

That's a pretty good breakdown of the three. I'm listening to California right now, and it's pretty poppy and definitely fucked up. But I'd say the other two albums are fucking ridiculous in terms of psychoticness.

California is wierd...at first it seems all poppy and such....then it kinda gives you this really fucked up creepy vibe and you have NO idea why...

I've only got California, and it has yet to get old on me. The things that they do within a single song are astounding, (Goodbye Sober Day, for example).

Also, you should check out Fantomas if you like the noises he makes. Tomahawk are also good.

Yeah although Im originally from berkeley I gotta deal with the crappy music stores in Santa Cruz while im down here. No california, but i got DV and I haven't listened to it in depth yet. But everytime i go home i spend like 4 hours in Rasputin's and Amoeba. With the used metal selection at those two stores i could get lost for days. Lucky to be living close to two awesome record stores so I dont have to order everything through The End and wait a month for it to come :)

I want to know if it fucks you up.. LOL.

It fucked me up good

That album was fucking insane I will have to listen to it a good 100 more times before I can start making any kind of sense of it. Only 99 more times to go :)
