Price-winning animation challenges live guitar players at Headway
Hey people! A short history lesson: In 1997, supercomputer Deep Blue beat world champion of chess Gary Kasparow. And this year at Headway Festival we will have the premiere of a battle between a computer animated guitar player and musicians of flesh and blood. Controlled by you, the audience, Mr. Fastfinger will duel with any of the live guitar players who are up to the challenge in a thrilling finale jam.
Mr. Fastfinger is designed by Mika Tyyskä, Lahti Polytechnic, Institute of Design (Finland). At his home, www.guitarshredshow.com, he lives a daring tale fighting the demonic ruler of an island, meanwhile thoroughly teaching techniques of the treacherous guitar. In style and looks, Mikas design was inspired by his heroes such as Steve Vai, Van Halen en Frank Zappa.
Especially for Headway, Mika developed a stand-alone Mr. Fastfinger which can be projected on stage. THANKS MIKA!
The audience will be able to control him. The guitar players of the line-up will be enabled to say their prayers before this shred-a-licious encore starts off.
