KURAI, the new project featuring guitarist/vocalist Scott "SVH" Von Heldt (formerly of KORN guitarist Brian "Head" Welch's pre-LOVE & DEATH solo band), MUDVAYNE bassist Ryan Martinie and drummer Abel Vallejo (longtime KORN drum tech), will release its debut EP, "Breaking The Broken", on December 17 on their own Sonic Velocity label. Says Von Heldt: "'Kurai' is a term that I came across almost 20 years ago in a Japanese martial arts encyclopedia. It means to achieve a state of mind in which you become one with your art.
