Anyone into this punk band from Seattle? I think theyre pretty damn good, especially live.

I saw them live once about 5 years ago. I don't remember who I was going to see, but it wasn't them. I had never heard of the MCD's. The drummer lit his cymbals on fire and kept playing. I thought they were cool. I bought an album or theirs and didn't think it was nearly as good as their live show. I do have an .mp3 by them, a song called 364 Days, that I think is very awesome.

Yeah, I got a buddy who now lives in Brazil thats huge into punk and shit. We decided that I'd take him to a Metal club show if he took me to a punk show. He took me to At The Drive In and the MCD's, I took him to an In Flames, Skinlab and Shadows Fall show.

All the hype was for ATDI, and thats more or less what I was told to go for. Well, once MCD started, I was like "Whoa, what the fuck is this? This is all attitude, beers, and fucking destruction. Fuckin' rad!" I totally got into it. Then ATDI came on and I was like "This is fuckin horrible. A bunch of Mexican lookin dudes with afros having seizures onstage and theyre forgetting what theyre here for- playing their fucking songs halfway decent for the crowd that PAID to see them." Crap. Pure crap. But I came away totally digging the MCD's.

I agree though - their recorded work pales in comparison to the live show.

Trust me Conclave, I dont care for punk either. But this band was killer. I'll always make at least one exception per genre that I dont like...
