Ha! I live in Grand Rapids. Lately I've been just going to shows at the Pyramid Scheme, I've seen Pallbearer, Saint Vitus, Obituary, and Melt Banana there this fall as well as some excellent local acts.

Lucky you! I'm workin on trying to get someone to drive me to the Iced Earth show comin up, I actually just listened to them for the first time in the last few years and haven't seen them yet.

Very jealous you saw Saint Vitus too, keep this thread updated next time some shit like that comes up and I'll see who I can wrangle into driving that far.

I'm not a big fan of them, I went to the Gwar and White Chapel show recently though for the first time and had my bloody face cherry popped haha. The first bigger band I've seen in years. There's nothing like a big, sweaty crowd of metal heads, dude... felt like a warm, beloved blanket from childhood.

Excuse my ignorance if White Chapel is nothing like Black Dahlia Murder, I honestly don't like either of them so they fall into the mutual genre of 'Music I don't like' haha.
