Music DVDs Really Worth Watching

Not metal related, but if there are any Prince fans here, I can't recommend the Sign O The Times movie enough. Amazing.

The man is so fucking cool. Not to mention insanely talented.

A friend of mine tried to convince me that Prince started out byt playing guitar in a heavy metal band... Is that true/tr00? :u-huh:

Prince is one musician I feel the world could absaloutly do without. I really cannot stand the man, not that he cares what I think of him.

I like the song of his that Sinead O'Connor, Nothing Compares, did but other than that, his talent is lost of my philistine ears.

speaking of prince, i don't know very many songs by him. i don't mean this as a dig to his fans or anything, but why is he considered a musical genius and a guitar legend etc etc? again, i've only listened to a few tunes by him. someone tell me songs that would back this up? :) im guessing his earlier work..

does anyone remember on that dvd.. an evening with kevin smith? he told a story about prince. he's a very odd man.

The Mastodon dvd is excellent if you're into the band. A pretty entertaining documentary about their beginnings up until the present, with lots of old and current footage, plus clips of almost every song theyve ever done live and some music videos. Probably one of the best DVDs if you're a fan.

The new ISIS dvd came out today and its pretty damn solid. Great full 70 minute set from last year and about 6 or 7 clips of songs from random shows (a couple of which I was at which is pretty cool) from 2001 to 2005. Plus their music video, discography, two photo galleries, and a 20 page booklet discussing everything appearing on the disc. Good document of what they've been doing up until now.

sorry to get slightly off topic, but does anyone know where I can get seasons 3-6 of Trailer Park boys that will play on the Australia/NZ Xbox's and PS2's?

They have only released Season's 1 & 2 here so far....

Yeah man, its great. I got it for only 13 bucks, but I'd gladly pay more. The main show is amazing. Great filming, lighting, sound, setlist, etc. My only gripe is "Carry" is nowhere to be found on the DVD... not in the main set or in the random songs. Actually it plays during one of the photo gallerys but only for a couple minutes.. Seems weird that they didn't include that, its one of their most popular songs! :( All the menus, packaging, and editing are great throughout the whole thing as well. Great purchase. I skipped class to buy and watch it today :)
