lol i live in katy, texas which is just outside of houston..i have no problem finding musicians..theres like 4 different drummers that i jam with often and plenty of guitarist that like metal around here. The only problem ive had is trying to find a decent bassist whos not afraid to tune to drop c

Tell them to stop crying - I play with my low B dropped to G. Granted it pushes my threshold of pitch recognition sometimes but its worth it to drop just that step below a guitar in Bb or A.

The original bass player of BTBAM used to tune his 5 string up a 1/2 step to play in C. The makes a lot more sense to me than tuning your bass down to slack. Y-future bass player's-MMV

Katy... hah.... I was just there the other day.

I cant believe you're having some kind of easy time. I 've been in this fucking dump for years now, and run through shitloads of "musicians" for any acts Ive ever done...

Or maybe Im as picky as Mike... just cuz I know people "play guitar" certainly doesnt mean they have any skill at doing it.

haha yea i dont really like living in the katy/houston area and im not saying theres a bunch of musicians here that like metal but im pretty sure i just got lucky to find the right people and im still in highschool so it makes it easier to find musicians when they go to your school..even though our class of 2007 has over 1000 kids in it haha
