And I also agree with the Machine Head album...one of the better 2007 releases.

And dare I say it, but Alter Bridge's Blackbird is a very good rock album...good singing, songwriting, guitar leads, and production.

I don't understand the Linkin Park picks...I didn't think anyone thought highly of them.

Man, a lot of musicians have very bad taste

In reality I don't think they really have bad taste, they just spend all their time writing music instead of listening to music or trying to discover good relatively unheard of bands. I've heard a lot of very devoted musicians say they rarely listen to music. C'mon, Vai plugs The White Stripes... I seriously doubt he listens to much new music.
