musikmesse 2008

How come you are there tomorrow? AFAIK Friday is only open to business people and press. I definitely wanted to go on Saturday, but we're having a gig, so it won't happen unfortunately. Which bugs me out 'cause I really wanted to see Loomis and the free Malmsteen show (among others).

Go check out the Bugera(Behringer) amps for us please, I assume they'll be well covered there. Maybe the Randall modular amps are worth to check out?

I've been there before but as a buyer with a company badge so I have no idea how the visitor thing is. But be sure to take regular breaks instead of trying to see everything in 1 run. My legs hurt like hell when I was done with just the drums hall.

my dad is the principal of a local school, so we made an agreement with the teachers that I'm the new music teacher of his school ;)
@all thanks a lot. I'll check everything out. I checked the randall mod system last year. It's really good!

I'm back again. I met Jeff Loomis, Kerry King, Destruction, Rage and the guys from Hammerfall. I checked out every gear that was available, and that was a lot. Also met Michael from Alien Connections/Peavey and talked a bit. He's a real great guy! Some facts he told me:
there will be a download-buy for revalver 3, which should be available about 15th of April. The boxed version will take some more time. The German guy from peavey staff said something about May/June for the boxed version (I guess). He was really cool as he gave me a drink ;)
Michael said it's hasn't been yet discussed what stomps and what tweak possibilities there will be in the HP version. Only that there are just the peavy amps in that version.
The sound is really great, it was like the old mk II, but with more amps. as for impulses, there will be the ones from revalver mk II plus extra peavey impulses. There won't be any from this forum though (as stated somewhere over here).
If you have any questions feel free to ask, as he didn't told me to shut up about anything we talked about ;)

yeah thanks. that was a typo of course. I didn't check the software for a long time and the headphones were quite fizzy, but the rectifier for example sounded almost the same as in rev II

why bad? the rectifier was and still is great! don't get me wrong there! I'm really looking forward for this software and I will buy it for sure! also I couldn't test it in detail. so maybe there are more tweaking possibilities to make it sound even better!

MK III has a complete reworked engine, and the rectifier (and every other old model too) sounds complety different compared to MK II

For me and under that circumstances (that means headphones + being pushed to play + not having my own guitar + didn't have any pleck) it was hart to tell, and the thing that came into my mind was like recognising the high quality tone from the rectifier. Of course it still has to go through my home testing enviroment to tell anything mor detailed. but what comes into my mind right now, and that's a cool feature which makes it really pro is the 64bit mixdown mode. so if you want to play along, you can do that in 32bit and for recording switch o 64bit. so maybe that's the reworked engine elmoe is talking about.
and I want to state this clear, maybe my short "review" above was a bit ambiguous. the product is without doubt absoulty over the top and not compareable with p*d or amp***ube ...
