Since Steinberg announced nothing new at NAMM, I'm hoping that MusikMesse will be the host to some new Steinberg announcements, since it's home turf for them. Looking forward to news from MusikMesse from all the European companies in general, since most of my critical gear/software is European.

You can buy them yourself through their website, just register as a "composer" or "professionell musician". They never check whether you truly count as acomposer or professionell. That is how I always get mine.

So who went to Musikmesse? I'm thinking about going tomorrow, but it seems, judging from press releases, that there is not a whole lot of new stuff to see. So what were your impressions? Should I go or save myself the hassle of getting up early and paying 14€ entrance fee?

It was OK. Nothing really new though. The SPL DrumXchanger looked cool though. But all in all nothing too ground breaking.

Oh and Jeff Loomis brought the fukkin' RIFFZ'N'SHREDZ!

I think I played for more then an hour with the SSL Duende...decided to buy that... and looked around a bit, but didn't see much..
Spend some time with the drums ( hall 3 ), and recording ( hall 5 & 6 )... Next year I hopefully have a bit more time to see all.

But for most of the time I was in hall 1.1 stuck for meetings with all my clients... that's where I spend most of my time..
But since I didn't have to pay the 40 euros per day I'm not complaining..
