Disconcert Music is thrilled to announce the signing of Vancouver's MUSPELLHEIM. This dark death machine rides the line between the unsettling darkness and the frenetic extreme of death metal. The album, entitled ''Violent by Design'', features the performance of amazing drum tornado Igor Cheifot along with a CARCASS style vocal attack by vocalist Alex Melkinov. ''Violent by Design'' presents 30 minutes of intense dark death metal that will leave you breathless...The package is brought as a whole by the fierce mastering of ALAN DOUCHES( ABORTED, NEURAXIS, SUFFOCATION). The band was chosen from 75 artists as winners of the first annual Long & McQuade Metal Fest contest sponsored by Jackson, Marshall, Yamaha, Digitech and Paiste. This event was judged by Gene Hoglan (STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, DEATH, DARK ANGEL), Dean Maher (Engineer - SLAYER), Devin Townsend (STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, STEVE VAI, DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND) and Michael Wilton (QUEENSRYCHE).
MUSPELLHEIM plays a blend of bands such as: HYPOCRISY, NECROPHOBIC, IMMORTAL, fused with old CRYPTOPSY.
