i did this in 3 hours so just help me get an idea of what i need to improve on in my ability to record

You're lacking lots of presence in there. It's kinda cloudy. Super harsh and no lows.

Cymbals are way too loud, for starters. Drums definitely need compression and EQing.

whole mix is pumping like hell, add some more mids and low end, parallel compress them drums

Yeah dude. Add some low mids in there.. And make it less pumpy.. I really like the pumping, other than there's too much of it.. A little less would sound 10X better.
