That is the kind of relationship I have with this amplifier. My obsession over monster guitar tones has been driving me fucking insane. Every time I attempt to play this thing, it just does not make me smile. I like my Marshall AVT50 a lot better.
The power amp of this thing is the best available. It has the best transformers and tubes money can buy.
The preamp, on the other hand, as I mentioned in my other article, SUCKS. I DO NOT KNOW HOW AN AMP COULD BE VOICED TO SOUND SO BORING AND LIFELESS. FUCK!
I'm having the entire preamplifier section thrown in the fucking garbage and a custom point-to-point circuit made to my specs.
It is going to embody the best of the marshallesque tones, have an insane amount of gain on tap and favor some more of the lower mid based tones.
I refuse to let this thing back into my house, unless it floors me. Otherwise, it's going to be a $2500 mailbox.
