My first song on guitar! Ever! Fast D-Beat stuff.

I didn't really play the guitar at all for over 10 years, I've always been a bassist. I decided to take another shot at it and picked up a cheap 7 string & a PODxt. This was the result.

i agree the guitars are a bit murky but i do like what i hear.
maybe try another track with more treble in the eq? mix it in lightly to give it more definition but not overpower the low end.

Yeah, worth a try. My computer is holding me back though, damn thing takes a shit without too much provocation. Really annoying cos one CPU core is usually idling at 20% or less whilst the other is maxed out and sending the audio into spastic fits. And Reaper is supposed to be better at this load-balancing stuff.

Might have a go mixing in a lower gain take, some of the higher notes in the chords get a bit lost.
