well, you have to warm up...you can buy beginner piano books which have various drills and exercises to limber up the old digits.

learn the chromatic scale. use it in a song. or three.

Actually I purchased a book of scales and chord construction crap I'm going to play around with. I fully expect the arpeggiators to make me a rock star with minimal practice.

I took piano lessons in Texas from this old Austrian dude who would wack my knuckles with a stick when I hit the wrong note. I think he had been a camp guard at bergen belsen.

The only lessons I ever got for anything musically were saxamaphone lessons in grade school. My teacher called me a slacker cuz I never practiced.
