It is an ebony fretboard. The neck is a 50's style which is big and bulky which is going to be a strange transition. My '77 is much slimmer.

I ran sound for a band friday that had a Burny LP (white Randy Rhoads style), honestly if it didn't say "Burny" on the headstock I would have just thought it was an LP custom. It was a sweet guitar. I didn't get to play it, but he was playing through a custom Marshall clone and it sounded fantastic.

It's beautiful. Take good care of that one. Plan on leaving the stock pups in it?
Dig the new avatar!

Yeah, it has the burstbuckers in it, I ran it through a TS/5150 last night, it sounds pretty good. I can't see messing with it too much, They only made it one year, so I don't want to go hacking it up if it sounds good, which it does.

OTOH, I may change my mind.....

the stock tuners could be better though I may have to drop some sperzels in it. Thinking that over. What pay-level does gibby decide you might want your guitar to stay in tune? Ridiculous.

I assume we'll be hearing some clips fairly soon? :)

I hear ya on that one. I just got a 2001 fender Yngwie strat and have been thinking the same thing. I also have a little problem where the high E string keeps slipping off the fretboard. WTF? I raised the string height and will try a thicker gauge next. Like you said...ridiculous.

Again: I don't like Les Pauls, and I know I'll go to hell for saying that, but that is one sehcksy guitar. Not much of a Fender fan for the guitars but they do sound awesome. These are the kinds of things that turned me on to MusicMan.
