My quest is finally over

I've heard good things about the E1, I'll have to check it out... Hmm, it's using 4/3rds eh... According to the olympus E1 site, there's hardly any lenses available for it... Do you know what third party lenses you can mount on the E1?

I think canon recently released a test for the AF of the 10D.... Looking on forums on the net, people who have supposedly done it properly are finding errors in the AF... Not only that, but there's also a lot of complaints about the AF back and front focussing. Dunno if people are just whingy or what ;) Played with a 10D today, had quite a nice feel. Viewfinder wasn't quite right, but other than that it felt good!

At the moment there are no third party lenses available for the E1, however the 4/3's system is open source and is available to any camera or lens manufacturer for free, the idea being to promote a standard interface among different brands. So far there are very strong rumours that Tamron will be coming on board this year, and even a couple of rumours that they may also launch a camera under the Bronica banner. Other rumours are flying around that Minolta and Leica may be interested in the system. The lens base that Olympus have launched will grow - they have two more bodies coming out this year, one cheaper and one more expensive than the E1, so accessories are sure to follow. But the range they have at the moment is not shoddy - an 11-22mm (22-44) will be launched quite soon, and they have the 50mm(100mm) macro and a telephoto too, all quite bright lenses as well as the 14-54(28-108) that comes with the camera. You should see if you can get to play with one somewhere, I've even had a guy trade in his 10d for it!

NO FUCKIN WAY

One step at a time ,You can't have it all .When at first you don't succeed, try try again .When the going gets tough, the tough gets going .Rome was not built in one day When you are not strong, you must be smart If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that suggests you tried The road to success is always under construction If all else fails, manipulate the data If you can't dazzle them with your brilliance, baffle them with your bullshit If at first you don't succeed, redefine success

Goodbye is not an easy word to say

hmm yeah, should be interesting how 4/3 goes... hmm, the 50mm seems interesting. THe canon 100mm macro is apparently a great lens, and probably would be one of my most frequently used lenses... that is if i had the camera ;)

i'll have to go find an E1 :)
