My shitty shit :\

I'm not a singer either so I don't know much about it either but I can tell you a few things:

1. Try to sing more from the back of your throat. Your growl isn't always as deep (mostly at the end of a sentence)
2. Make sure the lyrics fit into the music, sometimes the sentences are too long or too short
3. you don't smoke, that's good, be sure to drink much while singing, water, nothing alcoholic. That would just screw up your throat.

All together it wasn't too bad, just keep practicing and it'll be alright.

EDIT: don't apolegise so much, I've seen way shittier english than yours and the site ain't too bad either.

I DO sing and I'll tell you that singing from the throat will cause you to get serious vocal problems in the long run. What you should be doing is singing from the diaphragm (no, not your girlfriend's birth control device).

To get an idea of how much air you should have in your lungs when singing, exhale all of your breath. Now, think of yourself at the end of a sentence where you have used all your breath and you want to say one more thing before your friend walks away, like you are going to say, "Oh, and one more thing..." That is all the air you should have in your lungs and you need to control that amount of air. Any more air in your lungs than that while singing will only make it difficult to sing with any power.

Also, drink plenty of water, even when you're singing. If you must drink, try to stay away from booze (whiskey, tequila, vodka, etc.) as this will also cause damage to more than just your vocal cords.

Wogvorph,

It sounds like you were almost whispering instead of actually growling, so this could be why it sounds as if it's coming from your throat. Try to do it louder.

And as a compliment to you... You certainly have my inflections and timing down for this song. Are you trying to steal my job? hahahah!

Keep it up! You'll get where you want to be with practice.

Thank you all for listening of that...that...:puke: I'll try to do better next time, louder, more from the diaphragm and more fitable to the orginal :)

@edit: Damn it :| I just heat that one time earlier, now second time. And as a bass guitar player I'm shame of my rhythmics....I'll have to make another record with your advices...<shame on me>

edit2:

I guess thats the problem. I understood that I shouldn't have much air in my lungs, but at the end of the sentence I don't have any air. Any advices how to practice that kind of "air control" thing?
