Will, if you make it here, you can crash on our couches. We have like 4, and one is a futon.
Most important-don't bring more Californians with you.

Well, we most likely will be hitting Davis and visiting Neal. I'll check to see where Modesto is.
Where at?
I see how it is![]()
Also, seeing as we're driving a looong time, would anyone be able to spare a couch or 2 (i accept floors), in order to save cash from motels and such?![]()
You don't wanna know... said:The big rigs have to go slower, hit the scales and are subject to random
inspections. LA-SEA about 18 hours depending how often you stop.
As far as being boring, not so bad if it's your first time...after all
you're a GD metalhead, bring CD's! Keep it near of below the limit in Douglas county (Oregon) and also crossing the Columbia river into Washington. Other than that "balls out"- or go for 85mph and 60 around cities. If you can, leave LA in the early evening. You'll avoid the traffic and beat the heat. In the morning you'll be popping up in treesville and get some nice views of volcanoes on your right with a possible sunrise behind them. It's not that bad and pretty nice in August. But, bring water! Not just for you but possibly the car...
