My band, Tapout, has 3 songs up on mp3.com Our sound can best be described as old school thrash metal mixed with newer metalcore. We are heavily influenced by Pantera, Madball, Testament, Slayer, Shadows Fall, etc. The link to hear us is: http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/543/tapout_hxc.html

One suggestion, when your drummer is playing the faster 1,2,1,2 beat, have him play his hi-hats in double time, it will make it sound better. Also, the guitarists need to be tighter with each other, for the most part they are good, but there are certain points where one of them is slightly off and it does take away from the band. The other thing is, and id make a suggestion how to make it sound better if i could pinpoint the problem is that there is something about the songs that just make them sound boring. Its not that they are bad, its just that they dont seem to have anything to grab attention with.

Not the best, not the worst, a nice solid 5 on a 1 to 10 scale though.

Alright thanks for the input. That was our older stuff, which is more metalcore-oriented. We're starting to write more straight up speed metal. You think that would make our songs more exciting or sjould we just build on what we've already been doing?
