Mystica - Blinded By My Blood

Mystica are a melodic death/black metal band from Belgium who describe their sound as a mix of the power of Immortal combined with the technicality of thrash metal. It also sounds like American band Serberus is pulling some of the same influences. 'My Malediction (My Damnation)' is the first track and the title makes the punishment bestowed by the music obvious. Other massacring tracks bring the same brutality and concise musicianship to the Blinded By My Blood release. At times the music can jump unnoticed from one song to another if you listen with misguided and inattentive ears, but that is only a slight flaw.
Mystica, currently consisting of E-Noise (vocals), Cathy (Guitar), Bes (Bass Guitar) & Laurent (Drums), released their debut CD in July of 2001 & are ready to prove their force on tour at various locations with bands including Kreator, Marduk, Alastis, Raise Hell, Cryptopsy & Vader. They will leave their mark in blood with this debut and are sure to win some fans on the road. This CD was released as a limited edition digipack (1,000 pieces), 12" vinyl (500 pieces) 12" picture disc (500 pieces) and as a standard unlimited jewel case version.
