Name top ten songs you'd cover.

Name the top ten songs you wish you could cover.
1.)S.O.D-Season the obese.
2.)Anthrax-Metal thrashing mad.
3.)Pat Benatar-Hell is for children.
4.)Black Sabbath-Sign of the southern cross.
5.)Elvis-Hound dog.
6.)Judas Preist-leather rebel.
7.)Twisted Sister-Stay hungry.
8.)Twisted sister-Burn in hell.

10.)Crowbar-To touch the hand of god.
These are my top ten, most of them I could learn to play and most I would just do vocals.

I'm not big on covers, but I have always wanted to metal-up non-metal tunes as well as play some Accept covers as they are my fave old-school band.

"Rockin' in the Free World" - Neil Young. Cool song, easy to make a cool metal song with.
"Knocking on Heaven's Door" - I can fart that song better than GnR covered that.
" I've Been Everywhere" - Johnny Cash. This song was born to be thrash !!!
"Love Child" - Accept. I doubt I could top the original, but I would try.
"Princess of the Dawn" - Accept. Same as above.
"Tuesday's Gone" - Skynyrd. I'm not a Skynyrd fan (though I am a Blackfoot fan, see below,) but Ronnie Van Zant has to be rolling in his grave after the way Shitallica butchered that song.
"Highway Song" - Blackfoot. I'm not big into Southern Rock, but I make an exception with a few of this band's work. "Highway Song" is one of those songs a very few bands write once in their lifetime. I doubt I would ever be able to do justice to it, but a metal version of that song would just rip people's head off.
"Rainbow in the dark" - Dio. That would be a great cover, but who do you get to sing it ? Jesus ?
"Dream On" Aerosmith. Again, tough to top the original.
"Badlands" - Metal Church. one of my fave songs of all time. Would love to play it live.

15.)George Thoregood-one burbon one wiskey and one beer.I love every song so far.
16.)Skynyard-Gimmie' back my bullets. one of their best.

18.)Corey Heart-sunglasses at night. my personal favorite, It still rules.
19.)Blues Brothers-Sweet home Chicago. I don't know the original artist so don't get pissed.

Slayer - Angel of Death
Metallica - The Four Horsemen

What's up? I'm a vocalist, but I know how to play guitar and bass. I just can't sing and play at the same time. :loco:

I can't either man, I can only sing and play two of my songs simply cause the guitar is just downstoking while singing, and I can cover M.O.D.'s Hate tank. It was easy to learn and sing at the same time but that's the only song I can play and sing besides mine.

1. Symphony X - The Odyssey
2. Symphony X - Inferno (Unleash the Fire)
3. Evergrey - The Great Deceiver
4. Evergrey - Darkest Hour
5. Stratovarius - Black Diamond
6. Stratovarius - Destiny
7. Symphony X - Accolade II
8. Symphony X - Awakenings
9. Dark Tranquillity - Insanity's Crescendo
10. Nightwish - End of all Hope

Having both a male and female singer is a wonderful thing...Harmonized vocals and such, woohoo.
