NAMM Roll Call!

The NAMM show was great this year. I can't remember the last one that was this much fun. Unfortunately, I didn't bump into any of the Maidens on Friday. I didn't get to the Trade show until 2PM... and the Hilton/Marriot until 11PM. Saturday I was there from opening 11AM until closing the Hilton bar at 2AM. I was toast. Good thing I live 5 minutes away.

Let's see celebrity sightings....

I didn't stand in the autograph lines this year, but my homie Juan & I managed a few pics with: Nuno Betencourt, Jason Newsted, Michael Wilton, Ike Turner, Glen Tipton and KK Downing. (coming soon)

Other sightings included Mel Sisneros, Chris "DrumSlut" Silva, Victor "CreepShow bass" Armenta & the Empyre boys!

The Highlights of the show were...

• Watching Joe Satriani play his hits from like 10 feet away in the Peavy Sound Booth.

• Meeting Jason Newstead... on his way from the Convention Center to eat lunch- I stopped him to take a picture and give him my band's CD. I told him that he has the biggest balls in Rock n' Roll... for leaving one of the biggest bands on the planet and joining one of the best bands on the planet - VoiVod! He laughed... and made fun of my Cradle of Filth T-shirt.

• Doing shots of tequilla with Michael Wilton and Metal Mike (Halford) at the Hilton bar. The subject of discussion? "The Family Guy" on DVD.

• The Producers SoundTable was pretty cool... Jonathan Davis was a little lost in the mix.

I used a disposible camera (cause if I had a digi I'd lose it)... so my pics are lagging. But for those that are interested, here are pics from NAMM years past: http://www.psychicmafia.com/NAMM.html
