Natural drums (any suggestions)

no triggering, used the Audix DP7 kit. NYC light compression, and slight eq/reverb on the snare.

Am i off to a good start? any suggestions/complaints welcome.

also, I did *ROUGH* amp sim guitar and bass to it, very sloppy (i did it late at night)

snare sounds kinda dull and the kick sounds like an ak47

thanks for the comments. The snare being dull- would it sound better with the bottom snare mic being more upfront in the mix?

I'd try cutting a bit in the low mid. It misses a bit of snap too so maybe compress more? There's already plenty of snare bottom action going on.
