yeah like a schmillion years ago dude.

it's my least favorite good-period slayer (up until and including divine intervention), but the title track and hardening of the arteries make the album worth at least seven thumbs up.

yeah i still don't really love this album, for the same reason i never loved anthrax: fuckin songs are too long. unless slayer is doing lots of changes in mood like the song seasons in the abyss, i prefer their shit short like the antichrist and sex. murder. art.

There's a reason nobody complains about RIB (Or Necrophagist, after a half hour your shredding has become tiresome) being so short, but for me the songs that didn't have them playing insanely fast hold up just as well, Hell Awaits was actually my favorite at one point. At dawn they sleep.

me too ... Hell Awaits is by far my second fave Slayer after RIB ... heck, I can even sing along with it ... me and Araya locked eyes in a love embrace last show and sang Necrophiliac together .. and then he smiled in disbelief

I mean, I'm almost sold on a band by watching someone else play them.

yeh, when i saw them in sacramento (in like a church rec-room/teen center WTF?) there was barely anyone at the show. got there late and still walked right up to 2nd row. hella emo-lookin kids at the show, it was fuckin weird.
