Hey there,

I need to buy a "digital recording studio" (I hate this term) and I've heard that BOSS BR 8 is a good choice. Any opinions? I won't actually give that much money, but I will try to find it from ebay, so if the list price is up to $750, I will be able to afford it.

Which ones have you used/would you recommend?

Thanks in advance ;)

I use the BR-8. It's a nice machine but it is discontinued (I like to say vintage :)). I would say you should be able to get it for $350 or less. But they also make the BR-1180, BR-864, and BR-532. Of course that's just Boss. There are other companies out there as well. Check out http://www.homerecording.com/bbs/ and ask questions. The newbie area is probably the best spot for this.

:OMG:That is the most awesome board I have ever been to, Thanks for mentioning it. I can't believe I never thought to try and find something like that.

That's probably the best one out there I know of for home recording. There's a couple other I visit now and then but I can't think of the names. Well, except for vsplanet.com. But that's more of a users board for Roland and Boss digital recorders. But if you're looking at buying a Roland/Boss machine definitely check out that one. http://www.vsplanet.com/
