Hey everyone, I have a very short clip of a simple breakdown I have prepared from my band's upcoming full-length album. I feel that there may be something missing tone wise or in the mix/master stage. It has the grind I'm after, but I'm still unsure about the balance. Please let me know your thoughts, thanks!

There is a really strong resonating frenquency in the bass range somewhere, sounds like it's coming from the bass guitar. Make sure you use a hard compressor or limiter to tame the low frequencies of the bass guitar. If you get rid of that frequency, it will sound a lot better. If the resonance is coming from the guitars, make sure you cut a lot of that specific frequency from the guitar tracks.

Got feedback on my mix?

indeed. you know we have the bass pretty heavily compressed, but what might you think works better---notching the offending frequency or use a Sneap style multipressor setting to compress just the low mids?
