Need fresh ears & comments. Trying to get tight powerful mix

I have uploaded a new take where i worked on snare drum:

It sounds not that far away now, but for me, it simply sounds lauder and most likely too loud. What do you say?

a little much muddy whole mix, probably from the guitars..also you can gief a little clarify (boost 10khz as hi-shelf or somethn) to the whole mix as well

muddy = too much low mids of guitars/bass right?

yes buddy, and i guess its the guitars, but try reducing that area with the both as well

Also, drums sound like they are a mile behind everything. Like physically. Mostly the snare it seems.

I tried to fix the mud and add some clarity but i don't seem to have a good idea on how to make snare more "in your face". Do you have some tips?

Play around with the compressor on the snare and some EQ maybe abit reverb. Only succeeded in that a little while ago myself. I think its ok if it sounds like "too much" in solo mode.

I actually had more reverb on it before, and making less of it a bit helped. Adding some Highs EQ on snare makes it sound weird for me, compression is also used, maybe not enough or so... Anyways, the snare is on max possible volume now, do i need to cut down frequencies (that snare uses) from guitars and bass to make it stand out more?
