Hi guys,

Ive not been on here before, got directed here by a friend, so not sure if this is the right sub forum, sorry if its not :)

Anyway, i recently got ezdrummer and nuendo 3, ive got ezdrummer all up and working etc, but i cant seem to find a way to make patterns and then sequence them, if anyone could give a few pointers thatd be great. :headbang:

Plus, i have no idea how to get nuendo to record the actual sequence or how to export the sequence or whatever, but im guessing the answer to the first question will probably solve this to :p

This is a pic of where i am, dont know if it helps or whatever, but thought it might

Right click, add a new midi track.
Select it, then on the far left, select the topmost option (so you can see all the inputs and outputs n stuff) output it to EZDrummer.
Now get your pencil tool and draw in a block on the midi track. Select it, then go to the "MIDI" menu up top and then select the piano roll.

EDIT: thats what i get for 3 hours sleep

For most control (I learned a lot of this from a video that Mendel posted a while back)...

Once you open EZDrummer, as you have shown, click "Open Mixer" near the bottom left of that window.
In the "Output" tabs of each channel, they should all say TRK1. L click on the first one and select the tab that says "Multichannel". Now, you will be able to manipulate individual things, to an extent...much better than just having a stereo track. I use this, with aptrigga, on the kick channel and throw my own sample on the kicks most of the time, as I don't like the DFH one as much as others.

Look for that vid Mendel posted. He's speaking in Dutch or something on it, and he's using DFH2 Superior instead of EZDrummer, but you can pretty much watch it and get the idea from start to finish. I believe he shows examples of playing with velocities and quantizing, for what it's worth.

the other simple way is..
you load EZdrummer, then in the same screen goes to "midi grooves" or some like that. then it must appears a screen with some rythms and you only have to drag and drop to nuendo, then you can copy or remove it. Make sure in the out of the channel, it has to be selected 'ezdrummer' , not your sound card.
