need help with english

can somebody explain me these 3 words please, google failed me

promiscuous

oxymoron

decadent

example would be appreciated thanks

Not going to lay claim that these are the official meanings, just my interpretations.

Promiscuous is almost like sneaky, skanky, or scandalous. Not a good meaning basically, and is commonly used in a negative context.

An oxymoron is something that is contradictory of itself. "Hot ice" for example is an oxymoron or something like "It is so dark that it's bright".

Decadent I'm really not that sure of honestly lol.

decadent, or more over decadence would be something like the following:

You have a culture which developes quiet nicely to its peak but due to oversaturation starts to decay.
The process of decaying simply is that people, who held values and greater visions in high esteem, drop their attitudes and start to satisfy their necessities.
The problem is that the necessities are already more than satisfied due to pure abundance which leads to a creation of even more absurd/stupid necessities which are then satisfied.
The result of this is decreasing vigor and, sooner or later, boredom.

An example would be the late roman empire or our modern culture.

Hope this is understandable (I'm sure, someone could explain this better).

Decadent in modern American English somehow came to mean something luxuriously self indulgent. Hardly anybody uses the meaning of "decay" anymore, though that was the source of the word... you often see it in chocolates, pastries and the like.

Promiscuous is said of a person with many sexual partners. A hoe basically, but it can be either male or female.

promiscuous - Flirty, loose, basically a hoe.

oxymoron - Self contradictory statement. A hot block of ice.

decadent - already been explained better than I can :P

you often see it in chocolates, pastries and the like.
