need help =[

so i was trying to open an older project in cubase 5
and some how all of my vst plugin locations (the xml files got deleted?) changed
and so when i open cubase 5 now, it tries to read every single dll file on the entire computer

needless to say, it never reaches an end, or succeeds before getting there...

i dont know what to do...

i literally can't open or do anything

and of course as soon as i post i figure it out...

i had to delete the pref folder and start cubase like it was brand new
i also had to change the registry entry for VST path

turns out cubase defaults to searching through every single drive on your computer when it doesnt know where to look, and you have no control over it
