Need some opinions on this. (Glassjaw style mix)

Just got done recording 3 songs for a local band, and I'm needing some opinions on the overall mix for what I have done so far. I'm stuck at levels and trying to capture a overall sound with it. They're trying to aim for the whole Glassjaw type of sound. I think I'm stuck.

dudes need to write better songs to get a sound anything like glassjaw... one of my fave bands EVER, btw...

they're trying to hard with those clean vox... this is missing all the intensity...

if i were, i would have tracked all of them live or at least drums, then both guitarsist and bassist just jamming the fuck out.....

Yeah they're definitely no glassjaw by anymeans. Which means that I know for a fact that I can't get them to sound like them like they want. Other than production tips, is there anything I can work on mix wise?
