Negura Bunget new family member of Prophecy Productions

from what i know NB has still 1-2 discs to go under code666 contract ... this sounds like something else here, some distribution deal or whatnot.

i would really hope though that the band would get signed somewhere with a bit more promotional power.

"as well as some new albums after the end of their current deal with code666 Records."

This is cool to me, because maybe they'll tour again and I can see em in Berlin.

Yeah, this does seem like an odd decision (if it's more than just distribution rights). As much as I like Prophecy, I would have thought NB would progress eventually to become label mates with a band like Enslaved (Tabu Recordings) rather than a predominantly acoustic/folk label.

maybe they are going folk :loco: ... where else can they go after OM?

also, there are rumors abound of a Makrothumia resurection

NB doing an all acoustic release (with traditional instruments) would probably be extraordinary. That's EXACTLY the type of thing Prophecy would salivate over, plus they would go all out on the packaging.

...just to mention...Prophecy is actually going more and more into Metal than folk...there are only few folk bands...some of them very quiet but the last deals have been Farsot & Drautran...

anway...looking forward to seem live again too :headbang:

i was expecting a lot more pictures from the tour :Smug:

the situation is strange to me, they have two more albums in code666 contract! and they start talking about new releases with Prophecy/Lupus !?
anyway, under what banner will NB release new material.. Lupus Lounge or Prophecy Prod. ?

I agree NB deserving to end up at a much bigger label  , this would have been their only chance to get better recognition and promotion.... intriguing decision nonetheless..

all in all.. my biggest wish from this Lupus Lounge is to finally release Maiastru Sfetnic and 'N crugu on vinyl (and also a 7'' inarborat kosmos and 10'' Sala Molksa :heh:)

Does it really need to be re-recorded?

YES! I've always suspected that it is the production that's been in the way of me liking that album.

AND, it will apparently be re-recorded:

NEGURA BUNGET join forces with Lupus Lounge
Romanian band Negura Bunget and Lupus Lounge have agreed upon an encompassing collaboration. Among other things, Lupus Lounge will re-release "From Transylvanian Forests" as well as the albums "Zirnindu-Sa", "Maiastru Sfetnic" and "Sala Molksa" with extensive bonus material. The band is also planning a new recording of the album "Maiastru Sfetnic" featuring a traditional Transylvanian orchestra. Negura Bunget are going to fulfil their contract with the label Code666, but have voiced their trust in Lupus Lounge in that a contract on future releases after the cessation of the cooperation with Code666 has already been signed. In its music, this ambitious and challenging (their listeners as well as themselves) band unites original Black Metal atmospheres with many-layered arrangements deeply inspired by local Transylvanian spirituality and folklore. The band garnered much praise for their last two albums, "'N Crugu Bradului" and "Ôm", and their concert audience agrees that Negura Bunget's music is a law unto itself.

the box is limited to 1000

as for the maiastru producution.. to make it clear, they wanted that kind of sound, but with a great production :) too bad the end result was catastrophic :ill:

this being my favorite nb album, it greatly needs a re-recording.. and a traditional transylvanian orchestra would only add up :loco:

I got hte box.

For you yankee assholes:
