Hey,

I've been a member of this fine community for a couple of years now. However I've only been a "reader" not "writer" so far.. so yes, this is my first post..

I gained a lot 'round here and I know, there's plenty of reeeeeaaally good producers/engineeres joining.. I am currently working on our 5Tr. EP and would really appreciate some oppinions of you guys. So well: here we go..

Since I'm aware that it's pretty much a No-Go to just take without offering: If anyone's interested in, say drum samples or something - feel free to ask!

Sick sound!! Although it's almost too much, some frequencies sound a bit annoying, guess too many highs. Never the less, any further informations? Guitars? Amps? Mics? Thanks in advance!

Guitars were ESP Horizon, EMG81 re-amped through TS + Framus Cobra head + cab (Vintage 25 greenbacks). Miced with 57 and a bit Byerdynamic opus99 (bassdrum mic)
Bass was Ibanez (I guess) through Mark Bass, little Mark + Sansamp bassdriver DI + Ampeg 4X10 HLF. Miced opus99 and d112.

Pre-amps were RME Octamic/Fireface 800 on guitars and bass.

Killer sound!

Think those vocals may have a little DeEsser there.
Guitars remind me a lot of CoB.

But I think the mix in general lacks some mids...

you're not the same President Evil who used to contribute plot analysis guides for games like Silent Hill and Resident Evil, are you?

Everything sounds great, but hollow. I would boost some mid frequencies, esp. on the drums to fill it out a bit.

Great tune!!!

Liking the singers voice, awesome singer. But as said maybe go easy on the de-esser.
Try working on the drums maybe some lows in the kick & low mids in the snare.

For a minute I thought I was listening to the riff from "Sixpounder" by Children of Bodom until the rest of your song kicked in.

mmmhh.. No I don't think so... But I sometimes have those blackouts after saturday night when waking up dirty and totaly wasted for no special reason!!.. maybe I'm staying awake! deliriously.. contributing plot analysis guides.. :yow:... :D

No.. just some random name I picked for www about ten years ago, and..well never changed.. was funnier when I thought of it back then though..:err:

Thx a lot for the replies!
I'm going to try eleminating the hizz in the Vocals with a harder DeEsser setting..

Not so shure 'bout pushing the drums in the mids though... I personally thought the drums were maybe rather TOO present in the mix now.. more opinions?

I tended to maybe raising the guitars a little in volume...

Does it sound overcopressed to you?

yea the kick may be a little too loud. and id add some low end to it. but the mix is freaking amazing. i love the vocals. he kinda sounds like corey taylor \m/

all the instruments by themself sound not bad at least, but something about the mix bothers me.
I think it could sound thicker and heavier and the guitars are a little bit to sharp (not tuning wise)
sounding to me.

Ist das schon mit eurem neuen Sänger, hab mal mit meiner alten Band im Epplehaus in Tübingen mit
Deef gespielt, gute Stimme.
