ner ner ner nerr!!

I am pleased with these results.

Although I just read that because the Senate will not change members until mid-2008, Labor may have trouble ratifying Kyoto and removing Workchoices as the Liberals will hold majority until then.

That's not cool.

You didn't think it would happen overnight did you?

It will take sometime for changes to take place.

I liked the result.

Watching Hockey with tears in his eyes about all of his mates that were "losing their jobs" was the bitter icing on the cake.

BTW, I like a senate that's not a monopoly.

That'll make things like ratifying kyoto doable then?

Yep. And I read in the paper today that Garrett will probably get Indigenous Affairs now, so the "intervention" will probably be overturned or at least re-assessed. I also feel that his comment that "we'll just change everything" was less of a joke than he made out. They might as well invite Bob Brown into the Caucas room with them.

It's funny that last night Xena and I were talking about moving to Kiwiland if Howard got back in. This morning in the paper is an article by Tom Kenneally and near the end he writes "What do you make of [Howard's] going? Do you rejoice? Are you depressed? Do you have a booking on Qantas for Auckland?"
