Nevermore needs to get off thier asses and get with the program and...

i agree guitarguru, i prefer DVDs over CDs. live stuff is always best video.

also Nevermore's DVD must NOT contain fast motion shots constantly. it gets me bored easily cause i can't focus on a member for a while or the whole band. when you see a concert you aren't running around on stage or anything. a live DVD should give the feel of a concert. focus on a few members, cut to the drummer, cut to a close up of one member. all the cuts should be at least 30 seconds or so. no 1-5 seconds. the less the motion the better. they did this shit on the new In Flames DVD along with the Lamb of God DVD.

the fast motion causes a more 'music video' effect rahter than a concert effect. the music video effect makes it seem like the audio isn't from the same concert or something and the video is just placed on top of an audio track, rather than both being recorded at nearly the same time.
just some advise i hope you and other bands take when making a live DVD

ledmag, good to hear from you. I've tried calling several times but to no avail. Hope all is well with you. I posted a while back about NEVERMORE releasing a live DVD/CD combo with a live show and all their videos and extra stuff on the C.D. like unreleased demos such as "Chances Three," "Utopia," "The Dreaming Mind," etc... but with better production. Maybe this will see the light of day sometime.

I hope that in this live DVD the live song are not interrupted by interviews or so called fan sections. Thats sooo fucking lame! They did that on "War at the Warfield" and the Kreator live DVD and it sucks!

Please a live DVDwithout any interruptions!

(sigh) Yes! They should get up off their asses! They're not working hard enough! More! We want more!

More, damnit!!!

LOL -- at least they know we love them and can't get enough!

Absolutely....do NOT flash between members at 1 second intervals when there is a 'fast bit' please!!! For any one with an interest in musical virtuosity or instruments, having a series of cameras just on the guitarist for the solos etc is good! or for the drummer for awesome offbeat/doublekick/fill parts etc etc...the strapping young lad cd kind of had a good idea in splitting it up into seperate sections..but this was a little overdone, it only should happen if all the people are doing something particularly memorable at that point.

Like the Opeth DVD, great but again a bit too much jumping round quickly on the heavy parts...and extreme close ups of Mikaels nose hairs :)

PS take this as constructive criticism only....any DVD of Nevermore would be awesome!!

I actually prefer a CD personally... I listen to my CDs way more often than I watch my music DVDs. Both would be cool as well, although in those scenarios the DVD often has one or two more tracks than the CD does.

so when's the new album coming out. TGE was amazing...but yeah...It's been a long time since we've heard some new material.

LETS GO....lets go lets gooooooo.
