It seems a new sort of production aesthetic is penetrating these genres. It's sort of hard to describe in words but I'm hearing it a lot lately, namely amongst the new JFAC record and some other ones that were posted here (whose names I forget since I don't retain much core-related info).

Definitely, the guitars are sort of the giveaway, aren't they? Very 5150 centric, with all the mids left in there.

I agree, but continent was the same way. I like the sound of the drums and guitars better though so it's still an improvement. Vincent also sounds a lot more like a human being here, which is a plus for me at least.

Mix is interesting! I kinda like it. Not my favorite sound but it's cool. I'm not as impressed with the song as you guys. Seems too repetitive without any like, uber cool parts. I don't hate it, it's just not as good as some other acacia strain stuff for me. I bet the rest of the album will be good though.
