New Amorphis: Heard it months ago. S'alright. I don't like it after the first four or five songs.

I really like it a bunch. It's better than Eclipse, IMO, though similar. Actually, I feel it's closer to Elegy than they claimed Eclipse to be.

Good, clean fun. I stopped listening to other people's advice about music because I can't find a single person to agree with me on what I think is really good music.

I found Eclipse to be magnificent, for some reason I'm drawing a blank on the sounds of the one before that, but even Am Universum was great stuff (though I may be in the minority here?!)

I've been looking forward to checking out the new one, just haven't gotten around to it.

Alone from Am Universum is one of my favorite songs from Amorphis, so maybe we're in the minority, hehe. I also thoroughly enjoyed Eclipse. The one before you spoke of is their weakest, imo.

The riffs and solos in this album are really catchy and I think that's why it reminds me so much of Elegy. Lots of piano in this album, too.

It's got that Pink Floyd-ish guitar delay buildup that makes me lose my mind every time I hear it. And the chorus? I need a cigarette after hearing that song.

I used that song to go to a happy place while I was in Iraq, .

That song pretty much got me interested in playing around with delay pedals. I've also found them to be one of the keys to Fredrik from Meshuggah's guitar tone.

Far From The Sun? I really liked that album.
Overall, I really enjoy everything Amorphis has done so far. But with that said, Eclipse is one of my favorite albums of theirs, so I am really interested in hearing what they did on the new one. I love the new songs I heard on their Myspace.
