New Angel Witch song - "Dead Sea Scrolls"

Angel Witch's self-titled debut is without a doubt my favorite metal record of the 80's. I'm sad their re-united lineup hasn't toured here yet, but they uploaded a new song now (!!!!).

I'm liking it alot, but it's not as hooky as their classic numbers. Still a good tune. Bill Steer's (Carcass, Firebird, now in Angel Witch himself) solo is sooo tasty as per expected. An incredibly underrated player.

I have been waiting for this one. I heard about them a few weeks ago doing the new album. I have a feeling they will never play the states on a tour though. Maybe a fest like Maryland Death Fest one day or Ragnarokkr.

I knew they were playing more gigs than ever, but didn't know new recordings were in the works!!!!

I didn't even know they were working on a new disc. Thanks for the tip. The song is very good IMO, and in the style of the classic s/t album, which is a big plus in my book.

Very cool. Hopefully some of the buzz Rise Above seems to bring will benefit this classic band. I can see Ghost fans suddenly realizing how much of their sound comes from Angel Witch.

Would love to see Gates of Slumber and Angel Witch on some poser-smashing tour. Electric Wizard isn't for me though. I'd rather see Borrowed Time or Argus or maybe Sinister Realm get that opening slot
