New Anthrax!

Wow, I've never heard of any Anthrax fan hating WCFYA. It was such a natural progression of what they were doing, they took it to a whole other level with that album. I guess I don't understand how you could like previous albums and not that one. To each his own I guess, I hope the new record is killer

That was my point too. It makes no sense to like their previous work and HATE WCFYA!

Their old work (minus Stomp and Volume 8) owns WCFYA X 5. And even if there were some similarities, the older stuff was executed far better. I dunno. Maybe I'm just picky.

I still have to listen to Stomp in it's entirety, so I guess I lied about that 'un. I've only heard a coupla songs from it. Haven't been able to find it yet. But I did not like the last two. (Though Catharsis has to be one of my favorite songs Anthrax ever did, ironically... reminds me of the Foo Fighters.) There ya go. And it has nothing to do with Bush's singing; don't think I'm like THAT; it's moreso the style of music. OK? OK. I'm sorry I started a page and a half debate over this. Forgive me?

Meep17, I'm a pretty damned educated guy, and I am having a serious problem deducing what it is that you're talking about when you say that you don't like "that type of metal". You have yet to provide any other bands that fall into the "that type of metal" category. I've read a lot of your posts and this is the first time that we've heard any mention of your hate for WCFYA or anything after SOWN for that matter, and then you make mention of "that type of metal".

Please expound at length on "that type of metal", and all bands that fall within that style. You may be onto a new genre that none of us are aware of. I'll save my comments on your tastes in music until I see the comparison and band listing of "that type of metal".

My friend, the debate has far since ended. I think it would be good to assume I was... well... DAMN, I was a little bitchy wasn't I?!? I'm usually not some elitist idiot, but I came off as one there. I apologize!!

1. I think the correct way I should've stated it is that I have to be in a MOOD for "that type of metal", though it's a mood I'm rarely in, really...

2. "That type of Metal"=I THINK I meant "groove metal". It was a while ago; I'm not good with terms. (EX: Pantera, etc.)

3. And I stated my situation w/ the CDs after SOWN a few posts ago. I've listened to WCFYA a few times. I liked it OK the first time, then I slowly... didn't .... like it. At all. Volume 8 was too "all over the place" for me. And I haven't listened to Stomp yet, so I can't say anything about that.
