They tracked this with David Bottrill(im assuming he mixed as well?). What do you guys think of the mix and music? I have to say i'm a bit disappointed with both. Nothing stood for me(at least on my first listen though).
I've gotten to where i'm not really a fan of Jamie king's mixes, but i have to say that i think his mixes fit the band much better than this new stuff, which surprises me.

Jamie King mixed and mastered this one, actually.

Nothing really memorable, musically, and I've never been a big fan of any of their productions - go figure. This band lost me after Colors :(.

I don't know. I really like watching this band progress - from the Silent Circus, to Alaska, Colors, The Great Misdirect - I've never been disappointed. If I like a Between the Buried and Me Song the first time I listen to it I know it sucks.

Honestly, I think silent circus is sick but it seems that Alaska is the sound they were striving for on silent circus. So much of my guitar playing is influenced by Paul, I owe that nigga my career haha

How can you guys not dig Colors and The Great Misdirect? I feel like those albums completely eclipse their previous records... Like Alaska was definitely sick, but Colors is one of the coolest albums I've ever heard.

Kyle Odell, who posted above - he plays in Glass Casket with Dustie Waring, who is also in BTBAM, and works for Jamie King sometimes. :)

Blake too......haha ;)

Yeah I am really digging this new song a lot. I heard some snippets in the pre-pro stage during Casket rehearsal, but hearing it like this really brings it to life for me.

I always liked alaska and colors still gets a spin from me fairly often. Ants in the sky is such a sweet song. The production on this new stuff doesnt really catch my attention but I can still dig the song.
