new blabbermouth website

Yeah, it's awesome.

Well they needed to update it, it's looked the same since like 2003 or something. Still cant help but thinking it looks like every other music blog site though.

Wordpress? WTF Wordpress is for amateurs. The new site is horrid.

that is just bullshit... it's easy to set up an easy site with wp, yes, but you can pimp the shit out of it.
Just look for some big pages done with Wordpress, for example: Pepsi, Ford, Spotify (at least based on WP),
UPS and don't forget all the Magazine sites like New York Times and so on.

Especially for a site that is based on new articles and stuff, many writers, Wordpress is way easier
to use (and sometimes more reliable) than Typo3, Contao or similar CMS systems.
And yeah, I know, there are quite some people who think there are security problems with WP and so on,
sure, but there are many ways to get rid of these problems.

Sorry for the rant.

BTT:
I always disliked the old page, the new one is way better. Still lots of potential, the logo imho still sucks.

Glad you wrote all this before I was about to :p
Wordpress is perfectly fine, and as you said, easy to set up and easy to manipulate too! \m/

I don't see anything wrong with WP either. So what if it's easy to use? That's a good thing.

well it's a problem of yours ahah on mine pc/mobile is working fine ;)
I guess they were maintaining the site in that moment.

It's working fine now. Like you said, they where probably working on it when I check it out.

WP is the shit if you want a really easy to use CMS
BTW I do web developing for a living using .net MVC and c# and WP it's way easier... and it's all done ! you add plugins and voila everything you need at your disposal!

Joomla and Drupal > Wordpress for CMS. Wordpress is for amateurs.

.

Those sites may have a small portion with Wordpress, but I see absolutely nothing on any of those sites you mentioned that indicates they are using Wordpress. UPS? are you serious? You really think UPS is a wordpress site?

and again, bullshit, but I stated the reasons above, Joomla and Drupal are both ok, but alot comes down to
personal preferences, for example, I am not a fan of Contao, but I like Typo3...Contao is based on Typo3.

But why don't you just state a few things that make you think that WP is for amateurs? I am actually quite
interested. Sure, there are millions of blogs done in an amateur way with WP, but the same goes for Joomla
and Drupal (at least in my area).
If you know what to do, it almost doesn't matter which CMS you use and due to custom fields, loads of nice
plugins and so on, it's in many cases easier to do with WP instead of Joomla or Drupal.

Btw. Typo3 ist still better than Joomla and Drupal as CMS :p

The UPS Blog, I didn't mention which site, the other sites use or at least used Wordpress...
The German Dell site was done with Wordpress completly and there are other examples.

Like I said, there are loads of amateur sites, but there are still sites that are really good
and special and way above the "standard" WP site.

Edit:
Besides that, Wordpress is most used as a blogging platform - but in the end, a blog is nothing
else like a CMS, just look at all the huge magazines that use WP (just search for famous wp
users).
And why should I use a CMS my customer won't understand if he pays me for something he
could edit himself (content, not code)?

fuck sake guys .. who cares what was used to create the damn site? It looks better, it responds better and thats all that really matters. I'm sure they're retooling it a bit here and there as they go to improve on it but seriously? people are gonna turn this into a "this" > "that"
