When Black Tide released Light From Above, they really were unique in managing to secure a major deal playing classic metal - a perfect marriage of Kill 'em All and Piece of Mind with modern production.

Now they've kept some of those elements but largely sound like Pop Evil, Five Finger Death Punch and that ilk. Just listened to their new album Post Mortem and I'm not crazy about it. There's growling too. Yuck.

Shame, but I guess a style shift was inevitable given who they tour with.

I listened to some preview of their new material many weeks ago and decided they're not worthy to be followed anymore.

It's sad to see a new band drop the ball so easy and early in their career (also White Wizzard inability to keep a steady line-up and choosing a very bad vocalist to follow).

On the other hand there are so many new good bands out there (anyone for some Final Stage?) that this is a minimal loss.
