New Blogs at the CDC!

It is not $30 to read blogs. Its the t-shirt and other stuff that you get as well
i guess just buying a shirt at shows isnt enough then. I get all stuff I already have (email address, forum, t shirt) and lose stuff that was once free (blogs and such)

ill go with ya on that one...bought the tapes and albums (back in the day)...rebought them once they were on cd..bought the tshirts at the concerts...paid for the concerts...now you have to pay for more tshirts, an email addy (i got a free one from hotmail)...cant see the point just to read the "exclusive" blogs and videos..oh well...guess im not a so called "troo" fan...those years of buying stuff dont count for anything i guess

I too, have paid for pretty much every Anthrax album out their, got a bunch of shirts and paid for 2 concerts so far. I have not problem at all with that, the guys in Anthrax need to eat and we help support their product, but to now pay for the fanclub ....

It costs $30 for CDC membership if you are lucky enough to be in the US - us poor people in the rest of the world end up paying more (for me close to $50 Aussie Dollars).

I will probably end up getting CDC membership, but I feel it is a little rough to have to pay to read Scott/Charlies writings when not too long ago it was for free....

I got the shirts and the music thats good enough for me, I don't need nor care to read the blogs. Alphamails and blast beats are a good read but I aint paying for that. I support in to many other ways as is.

I paid but I still got nothing!! why advertise with designs of shirts when nothing is ready?? crap!!!

patience my friend i been waiting since the day cdc started,i dont think they are shipping anything till mid november...yes it is a tad unprofessional to be so unorganised, they need to get it right.

Let's all start a boycott!

CDC dudes and dudettes: They're going to sign the autographed pictures next week (I believe) and then send everything out in a few weeks. I'm impatient too, but we'll have our CDC stuff in a few weeks.

Yep you summed up my feelings correctly. Dozens and dozens of CDs, tapes, records, t-shirts, DVDs, concert tickets (including interstate trips to see the band), and more.

Sorry guys, but I draw a line.

personally since the dawn of the internet i see little that can justify paying to join a fanclub. stuff like blogs should be free. but since anthrax want to charge their fans now, (especially since the last few years it's been 'free') i see that as being extremely tight.
come on, are they that desperate for cash???

I have heard of a free website. But I've NEVER heard of a free fan club.

You're missing the point people are making. Mr Wu has always connected with us fans through Alpha Mail and Charlie through Blast Beats on the website. That has now stopped, and it appears we now have to join the fan club if the band will continue to talk to us.

That's cool - that's their right, but I wont be joining after the thousands of $$ I've spent on all the aformentioned Thrax records, merch and tix. I have a limit. That's all.

Okay. I did miss the point. I think they should have the AlphaMails and BlastBeats on the site as well as in the CDC.
I guess I was focusing more on those who replied about having to "pay to be a fan" or whatever. You know? When you join a fan club, you pay for services. T-shirts, webservers, beer coolies, and autographed pictures don't all grow on trees.

exactly. it's like they'll only connect with the fans that have paid extra money for the privilege. seems weird to me. surely they would want to connect with as many fans as they can...?
