So what about Pepper? I cant seem to find whether he is out or just working with Down and too busy? For Pepper was C.O.C., he had the vocal tone that is just fucking spot on for the soudn they have.

What are your thoughts about the New Old C.O.C.?

I'm happy about it, but I dig all eras of the band.

I saw Reed & Mike's other 3 piece band, Righteous Fool a couple months back, and they were awesome, too.

F*ck Pepper, honestly. i have heard he is a douche and good for these guys moving on and getting back to the roots of the band if he doesn't want to push on which i assume is the case.

Animosity was just inducted into Decibel's Hall of Fame. i personally, think Blind is the best, but the early years are something different but no less kick ass and far more hardcore punk in origins.

Having never met Pepper, I can't comment on what he's like. However, his decision not to record this disc with CoC, would seem to suggest he's something other than the typical egomaniac. After all, what sort of egomaniac opts for a role as a guitarist, in a two guitarist band, as opposed to fronting a band where he's perceived as the star?

There was an interview several months ago that I did read also on Blabbermouth with Pepper about the C.O.C. reformation/reunion. This band will reunite and record a new album in the old Animosity vein. They are doing some fests/shows and performing almost exclusively Animosity and Technocracy material, which I'm all for.

For now (from what I gathered in the interview with Pepper), he has obligations with Down that do not allow for him to be part of the C.O.C. reunion. However, while he was initially kind of peeved that he wasn't included in the reunion, his attitude in the interview went something like "Those guys can do whatever they want for now, but there's no bad blood so once I get done with this Down shit I have going on right now, we will hook up and do something as a four-piece." So hopefully that happens too, as I like both of their main styles as well.

I really do think they hit it out of the park with Blind also...as it was very indicative of where their sound was going but also very fucking heavy too.

well, the material they are touring on currently and playing live Pepper wasn't even in the band to be a part of. i think it's a smart move if in fact he is contractually obligated to remain with Down. CoC was a band, and fairly popular, before he was even in the group. yes, their popularity grew once he joined, but the other guys built the foundation on which they were able to rise.

so why not revisit it once again? smart move i say.
