New Cloven Hoof ep samples

I am huge fan of the "A Sultan's Ransom" album from these NWOBHM stalwarts and I look forward to anything they release. Their last album was a few years go and was pretty heavy but unfortunately did not feature the absolutely awesome legendary pipes of Russ North. He rejoined the band after that album but has now left once again and they've got a new singer. The new samples sound ok but the new singer is nowhere near Russ North in terms of quality and ability. Running Man sounds like a cool Trooper rip off though.

Awesome band and I am also a fan of their power metal period (Dominator/The Sultan's Ransom). I have already preordered the new EP and I hope that will be better than "Eye of the Sun". But it's a pity that Russ North has left again.

fan of this band too. I saw they rerecorded some of thier early stuff but updated thier sound and have a different singer. Will definetly check out anything they put out. I loved "A Sultan;s Ransom".

The re-recorded album actually is with Russ North. But the sound on them is not much better than the originals strangely enough. Here is the classic Astral Rider re-recorded. Doesn't sound really much better to me. Well the bass is louder but the guitar is too quiet. Russ sounds a little less good than on the early albums but he was 20 years older or something and he's still streets ahead of the guy they got now. By the way this song is just beyond awesome and is my fave Hoof tune by a long shot.
